Ignite.now aims to place our clean cooking as local as possible. The units are community driven, ensuring that clean cooking will be structurally integrated within the communities, becoming the new cooking standard.
We primarily employ women from local communities for production and distribution, making it a ‘by women, for women’ enterprise. We select some ‘happy cookstove users’ to become an Ignite.now ambassador. They will provide their community with user assistance and service. Selling cookstoves and pellets, helping to organize ‘clean cooking events’ and doing demos can generate some extra income.
Local farmers join the process by selling their crop-waste to the local pellet-unit.
